Hello everyone! I am back with a new art journal project. My Art Journal for today is a Summer scenery.
This page was very simple and fast to make. The materials, I used were 4 shades of distress inks, 2 shades of Archival inks, water, stamps, embossing mediums, stickers, and a big Dylusions art book
I started by blending two shades of blue on my page; Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean for the water, and Brushed Corduroy and scattered straw for the sand. In my opinion, it wasn’t necessary to be neat with the blending, since this is a beach scene after all, out in the elements the water and sand are not just one color. But on your page and Journal, you are the boss, you can do whatever you want.
Next, I sprayed some water on my hand and sprinkled the page with it. This is totally optional.
To add a bit more texture, I used a clear text stamp and two shades of archival ink, Coffee and Cobalt. I opted for archival inks because it does not react with any wet medium.
To add the sea foam to the shore, I used an embossing dabber instead of embossing ink. After spreading the embossing liquid, I covered it with white embossing powder and used my heating tool to melt it.
Lastly, to add some variations of elements on the page, I used some old stickers that are all related to summer and the beach. I arranged it how I felt it would look good, and highlighted everything using a white gel pen.
I loved how this summer scenery Art Journal page turned out.
