Hello Everyone,
Today I’m bringing another diamond painting unboxing of a canvas from ArtMinds called Candles. This is also a post for the kitting up, and a time-lapse process. I bought this painting at Michaels the Christmas of 2021, but I never got to do it.
Price, Size, and time to Finish.
As you can see it’s a Christmas theme painting. It cost me $14.99 US dollars. The drills are round, and the drilling area is 16 by 20 inches or a little bit over 40 by 50 centimeters. This particular canvas comes with 30 colors and no ABs. AB stands for aurora borealis and its iridescent drills that adds a lot of shine to the canvas. This painting took me 17 hours to complete, divided into 15 days.
In the box you will find the canvas with the printed image, a drill tray or boat, a squishy or foam for the pen, to give a more comfortable grip, a single placing pen, wax in a small container, a few tiny plastic baggies, and instructions. This canvas has legends on both sides. It does not come with stickers or an inventory list.
Kitting up Process
So for the kitting up process, which is just organizing the drills in containers, I made a colored copy of the legend with my printer, fussy cut the unnecessary parts with scissors, added double-sided tape to the back of the legend, cut it to size to fit the containers.
The containers used for this painting are small, so what I do is fill out the container and keep the spare drills in a bigger bag. Once I finish with those drills, I fill out the container again. I prefer to do that way to keep it organized.
Final Thoughts
My final thoughts on this diamond painting canvas are; I liked it. It was easy to make, and the symbols are very visible. I didn’t get confused because the symbols are not similar to one another. The colors are very vibrant and the drills did not pop out. regarding the “trash”, I did have a few tiny beads, but they are easy to separate too. It’s not a deal breaker for me. The wax stayed sticky for longer than a few others I’ve tried before. I enjoyed the process and I’m pleased with the final result.
