Hello Everyone,
Today I’ll show you how to make this adorable and simple Christmas gnome to decorate your house around the holidays.
I started with a recycled candle jar. I used the candle upside down because I added lights, but that’s optional.
Cover the Jar with any fabric you prefer. I used fleece in this project.
I hot glued cardboard over the jar, but it’s not really necessary.
Cut two pieces of fleece in a triangle shape to serve as the base for the head
Close all sides and add the stuffing. I used hot glue to close the side and I used polyfill or pillow stuffing.
Glue the “head” to the jar.
To make the hat, just cut a triangle bigger than the base “head”. You can use hot glue to make the hat, but please keep in mind that this material will not hold well if you try to turn it inside out. If you want to hide the seams and have the option to sew it, please do that instead.
To make sure the hat fold stays in place, I hot-glued pipe cleaners along the seam
For the nose, cut a round piece of brown, cream, or any fabric color you prefer and loosely stitch it with a needle and a thread. The circle for this nose is just half an inch wider than the circumference of the candle jar.
To make the arms, you can use a piece of fabric and pipe cleaners. Just roll it and hot glue it to stay in place. For the hands, pompoms will work fine.
I used faux fur for the beard, but you can use yarn as well.
To finish it off, I glued all the parts together and added the final embellishments available.
