Hello Everyone,
Today I’m bringing another diamond painting time-lapse and unboxing a canvas from Paint With Diamonds called Autumn Creek. This post includes the kitting-up process. I bought this Painting on the company’s website in 2021, but I just got to finish it in September of this year.
Price, Size, and time to “Finish” it.
This canvas is a Fall theme and, it cost me $59,98 US dollars. The drills are square, and the canvas is 19.5 by 29.5 inches or a little bit over 50 by 75 centimeters. This particular canvas comes with 35 colors and no ABs. AB stands for aurora borealis which are iridescent drills and adds a lot of shine to the canvas. I wasn’t able to finish this canvas on my own. Besides being confetti-heavy, the drills kept popping out, which made it frustrating to keep working on it.
In the box, you will find the canvas with the printed image, a drill tray or boat, a squishy or foam for the pen, to give a more comfortable grip, a single placing and multi-placer pen, wax, tweezers, and instructions. This canvas has a legend on one side. It does not come with stickers.
I believe this painting is double side adhesive and it came in really good condition. It has a foam roll in the middle and didn’t have any creases. To flat it out, you can lift the paper converging the painting, and cover it up again.
Kitting up Process
For the kitting up process, which is just organizing the drills in containers, I made a colored copy of the legend with my printer, fussy cut the unnecessary parts with scissors, added double-sided tape to the back of the legend, and cut it to size to fit the containers, which I bought at harbor freight.
Final Thoughts
The painting is beautiful. I absolutely loved the colors, since I really like fall. As mentioned,
it arrived in great condition and I didn’t run out of any colors. Also, this company offers insurance in case you spill the drills. I have nothing to complain about the tools included. They are basic, but they do the job just fine. The only thing I did not like and it made it frustrating to try to finish the painting was the drill popping out constantly.
I do not know if I’m unlucky and that’s happening only for this painting, but it got to a point where I had to seal the painting with mod podge gloss every time I would finish a section. My plan was to finish the painting and gift it to my family. However, I stopped doing it and recording it. I left this painting sitting in my craft room for almost a year. Eventually, I finished it with my family’s help. But I still like the painting very much.
