DP Timelapse – Dark Thirdy

Claycia Crafting Corner

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing another diamond painting time-lapse and unboxing a canvas from Paint With Diamonds called Dark Thirdy. This post includes the kitting-up process. I bought this Painting on the company’s website in 2021, but I just got to finish it this year.

Price, Size, and time to “Finish” it.

This canvas cost me $54.99 US dollars. The drills are square, and the drilling area is 60 by 45 centimeters or a bit over 23 by 17 inches. This particular canvas comes with 48 colors and no ABs. AB stands for aurora borealis which are iridescent drills. This canvas is confetti-heavy and the drills kept popping out, which made it frustrating to keep working on it.

In the box, you will find the canvas with the printed image, a drill tray or boat, a squishy or foam for the pen, to give a more comfortable grip, a single placing and multi-placer pen, wax, tweezers, and instructions. This canvas has a legend on one side. It does not come with stickers.

I believe this painting is double side adhesive and it came in really good condition. It had a foam roll in the middle and didn’t have any creases. To flat it out, lift the paper converging the painting, and cover it up again.

Kitting up Process

For the kitting up process, which is just organizing the drills in containers, I made a colored copy of the legend with my printer, fussy cut the unnecessary parts with scissors, added double-sided tape to the back of the legend, and cut it to size to fit the containers.

Final Thoughts

The painting is beautiful. I loved the colors. It arrived in great condition. However, I ran out of one color, which was not a big issue, since I had spare drills. Also, this company offers insurance in case you spill the drills. I have nothing to complain about the tools included. They are basic, but they do the job just fine. The only thing I did not like and it made it frustrating to try to finish the painting was the drill popping out constantly.
In my previous post, I said maybe I was unlucky and got a faulty painting, but that was not the case. This painting gave me the same issue.
