How to diamond Paint

To Diamond Paint, you use an applicator to apply hundreds, if not thousands of resin or acrylic diamonds in various colors on a self-adhesive canvas. The canvas is printed with symbols, numbers, and/or letters corresponding to each color of drills. That will let you know where each diamond needs to be placed.

Round or Square, which one should I choose?

The diamonds can be round or square, also referred to as “Square Drill” and “Round Drills”. The Square Drills, which I prefer, can give a cleaner, fuller, more complete, and more detailed look to the painting. However, I feel that it takes a bit longer to finish it.

Applying the Round Drills can be a bit faster because it doesn’t require exact placement as the square drills do. Even though the painting still looks beautiful, because of the round shape, it leaves gaps in between the diamonds and that will make the paint look less complete.

You should definitely try both and see which one you like more. No matter if you choose Round or Square Drills, the final result of each painting is breathtaking.

Where can you get Diamond Paintings?

You can find diamond paintings at Micheals, Joann’s, Amazon, Diamond art club, painting with diamonds, to say a few.

I buy canvas from many different places. All the canvases that I bought to this day, have always come with all the materials necessary to complete the paint which includes self-adhesive canvas, an applicator pen (some with multi-placer), tray, wax, and colorful drills.

Diamond Dotz Kit (Not Sponsored)

In my opinion, the only thing you will need to start diamond painting is a kit and patience, since it’s a slow process to complete a single painting. The process is very easy but it requires concentration. I’m sure that while diamond painting, you will forget for a bit the stresses of the world and focus on the moment.

Don’t forget to take a break

Exactly because it’s easy to get caught up in the moment, I would suggest setting the alarm to take breaks. Do some stretch, stand, or walk around for a bit before coming back to work on your masterpiece.

How long has Diamond Painting been around?

I’m not sure when diamond painting was invented and when it got to be this huge. But I’m new to the diamond painting world myself, and I can tell you, I absolutely love it.

Lately, I have fallen in love with Diamond Art Club paintings (NOT sponsored). I’ll place the progress and completed canvas over here, once I’m done.

In the meantime, you can take a look at a Diamond Painting from Diamond Dotz (Also NOT sponsored) that I Unboxed and finished a little while ago in the video below.
